Awakening your inner vision

This bath encourages spiritual awareness and will help you to develop your psychic abilities.

What you need

Mix three or more of these essential oils in your bath, using up to five drops of each:

Lilac oil - helps you see past lives and induces clairvoyant powers.

Lemongrass - aids psychic powers. Put on some on your forehead and while you are bathing, as it is used by the mediums and spiritualists to make contact with the spirit world.

Mimosa - for nightime baths. Unlocks the door to your psychic mind. Keep a pad and pencil next to your bed and write down your dreams. Don't be surprised to find glimpses of the future.

Juniper - for psychic protection and purification. Add to each psychic awareness bath.

Magnolia - excellent for meditation and psychic development, peace and harmony.

Nutmeg - promotes visions and expands consciousness. Use just a little.

A candle.

What to do

Mix the oils into the warm water while you are in the tub. Swirl the essences around your body.

The third eye is located in the centre of your forehead, between your eyebrows. Mystics believe that by concentrating on this point, you will awaken your inner vision. If you practice the following exercise daily, you will feel and experience your third eye. Here's how it works:

Burn a candle where you can see it. Stare into the flame, relaxing your eyes; imagine the reflection of the candle flame at the centre, between your eyebrows. Concentrate there for a minute or two, then repeat the process. After a while, just close your eyes, with your attention fixed on your thoughts as you do so. If your thoughts are overwhelming, try to stop your mind by concentrating on your breathing. If you count up to seven on each inhaled breath, and seven for each exhaled, you will calm your mind, allowing your third eye to open.
